RS232 Relay
RS232 Relay Board
RS232 Relays are equipped with firmware built into the board that will allow you to Control one relay at a time, a bank of relays or all relays at once with manual and automatic refreshing command set.  RS232 Relay or Serial Relay Controller allows computer controlled switching using the serial port of your computer.  An RS232 Relay supports any available COM port at any standard baud rate, allowing easy integration into any program that support serial communications. The RS232 Relay is ideally suited for applications that require data collection and control from a single device.

RS232 Relay Options
RS232 Relays are available with SPDT 5, 10 and 20 amp, SPST 30 amp and DPDT 1, 3 & 5 amp relays installed.

Setup for the R25RS RS232 relay shown above with onboard Serial and power connections. Simply connect the Power and Serial Cable and start sending commands. Quick Connect terminal block makes if easy to connect electronics.

RS232 - Still The Best Choice

While RS-232 is not built into some of today's motherboards, there are many applications where RS-232 is still the best choice.  Using a simple USB to Serial Adapter allows you to use RS-232 devices with ease.  This combination is actually better than using a device with a onboard USB port, because it eliminates most of your EMI problems while maintaining compatibility with today's computers.  RS-232 devices are perhaps versatile and most popular choices because of their ability to adapt to any other communication protocol.  For instance, using 3rd party devices, RS-232 relay controllers can be controlled from GSM modems, Ethernet to Serial Adapters, WiFi to Serial Adapters, USB to Serial Adapters, Bluetooth to Serial Adapters, and Wireless Mesh Network to Serial Adapters.  RS-232 will continue to adapt to all emerging technologies, as the foundation for all communication technologies has provisions for RS-232 communications.
