Contact Closure
Contact Closure Relay Over a Distance
MirC controllers allow contact closure inputs to control relays in a remote location using a two board design. The sender board is equipped with contact closure inputs, used to control relays on the receiver board. Both sender and receiver boards are included when you purchase a MirC pair.
Contact Closure Input & Output
The relay on the sender board can be used to interupt the power of a device you are switching and also as a dry contact closure output. Applications where you need to extend the range of a contact closure over a distance the MirC will work. Connect the Contact Closure output of your device to the Sender Board then wire the relay on the Receiver Board as your contact closure input in a remote location.
Trigger relays with a contact closure either wirelessly, through a LAN or internet connection or through a wired connection.
Selecting a Board
MirC boards are available with four different communication interfaces with your choice of 1, 2, 4, or 8 relays on the board and your choice of 5, 10, 20 or 30 amp relays installed. A simple dry contact closure will connect to the input of the sender board and trigger a corresponding relay on the receiver board. These are sold as a pair and there are as many contact closure inputs as there are relays for each pair.
Communication Options
Below you will see the options for the 4 channel versions. You have the choice of how the boards will communicate with each other. Options include the MCNET which is an Ethernet interface, ZBT a Bluetooth version, ZRS a wired version or a wireless version with no suffix. All our part numbers begin with MIRCR then the number or relays and their amperage, the interface is in the suffix. The original MirC boards are wireless and don't have a suffix. The boards are sorted by amperage of the relays. Choose your amperage then your interface and select Full Description for more information.
