Ideal for Monitoring Voltages While Analog to Digital Converters are ideal for monitoring voltages in the range of 0 to 5 volts DC. Our current product line is widely used for Temperature monitoring, Light Level monitoring, with minimal integration time. Analog to Digital conversion is the process of converting a voltage to a number. The higher the voltage (not exceeding 5VDC), the higher the number. 8-Bit Analog to Digital Converters offers numeric values from 0-255. 10-Bit ADC offers numeric values from 0 to 1023. 12-Bit A/D offers numeric values from 0-4093. Simply query the controller to ask it the voltage on the A/D input. Up to 48 analog inputs are supported on some controllers.
